Pistoia is another ancient walled city, famed for the violence of its citizens, who had a short 4"inch blad knife they stabbed each other with. Today it's famous for its metalwork. Mostly, on my trip, it was a torrential downpour and not alll that interesting. No metal-smiths, no 4-inch blades to buy ... so i took off and found a castle on a hill amidst villas and olive groves. Now that, is Tuscany. Too bad the men aren't as beautiful as those from Bari.
